Cancellation & Refund Policy

How booking, payment, cancellations and refunds work on Badrikedar, from choosing a date to the end of your trip.

Last updated 4 October 2026

1. Choose your tour and date

Pick a tour, a travel date, the number of travellers and any stay option. The price updates as you change these, using the rates for that exact date. Children are charged at a reduced rate, which the price breakdown shows line by line.

2. Book without paying online

You need an account to book. If you do not have one, the booking form creates it for you. As soon as you confirm, your seats are held and your booking shows as confirmed in My bookings.

You are not charged online. Badrikedar does not take card or bank details. Payment is shown as pending until it is received.

Tours that confirm on request

Some operators confirm every booking themselves. These tours are marked Confirmed on request and the button reads Send booking request. Your seats are held and the booking shows as awaiting confirmation until the operator answers. If they confirm, nothing else is needed. If they decline, the seats are released, the booking shows as declined and you are not charged. Tours marked Instant Request are confirmed as soon as you book.

3. Payment is arranged separately

After you book, the tour operator's team contacts you on the mobile number in your account to arrange payment. Once payment is received, the booking is marked as paid. Prices are fixed at the moment you book.

4. Cancellations and refunds

Each tour has its own cancellation, refund and payment terms, shown under Policies on the tour page. Read them before you confirm, as the operator who runs the tour sets them.

Bookings cannot be changed or cancelled online yet. To change or cancel a booking, get in touch through the contact page and quote your booking number.

Refund timeline. When a refund is due under the tour's cancellation terms, it is paid back to the bank account you paid from within 10 to 20 working days of your cancellation being confirmed. Working days are Monday to Friday, not counting public holidays. If you have not received it after 20 working days, write to us through the contact page with your booking number, or to the Grievance Officer.

5. Who runs your tour

Tours are run by independent operators listed on Badrikedar. Most tour pages show the operator, a verified badge and a profile with ratings. Some tours are shown as run by a verified Badrikedar partner without a name. For your safety and ours, operators never publish phone numbers, emails or links: every booking and message goes through Badrikedar.

6. Reviews

After a tour is marked completed you can rate it from My bookings. Our team checks each review before it appears on the tour and operator pages, where it shows your first name and the initial of your last name only.

7. Travelling in the mountains

Weather, landslides and temple opening dates can change a plan at short notice. Your operator will tell you about any change to your itinerary.
